Comp-Cal, Inc. offers complete vinyl wrap services, available for motorsports, commercial, and personal vehicles.  Here at Comp-Cal our design staff is also our installation staff, so what we design is also what we install.  We offer the full service of design, print, and installation.  Most wrap jobs are priced by the square foot of vinyl printed and for installation.  Designs are charged by the hour at $45.00 per hour.

The examples shown here are of PRISM Motorsports COT CUP Car for the 2009 Daytona 500 with driver Terry Labonte.  We were contracted to design the paint scheme as well as print and install the wrap.  This particular design was put together from only a business card and a website from Window World, Inc.

The PRISM Motorsports Toyota Camry COT CUP Car came to our shop in primer without one drop of paint on it.  Now we recommend customers have a base layer of paint on their vehicle before the wrap process begins, this allows for easier removal of the wrap, as well as quicker installation.  Prices for the installation will vary depending on condition of the vehicle and its paint surface.  If a customer has Comp-Cal install their wrap we require to see the vehicle in person before the wrap is scheduled to be printed and installed.  This allows us to prepare and adjust for any unseen defects that may interupt the wrap process.

As you can see the car was completely bare of paint, when our staff installs we also remove items that may cause the wrap to fail or make it not look like paint, we try our best to open all mounting holes and trim all areas so if a customer has additional items to reinstall after the wrap, they can do so with ease.  We do recommend that customers remove all necessary items themselves that will need to removed for the wrap, this will reduce addtional labor costs that may be added if items are in the way.  Be sure to ask your Comp-Cal representative about this during the intitial estimate.

Our goal is to create the most seamless wrap possible for race cars, as you can see here the graphics along with some of the sponsors and even the number were printed in the actual wrap.  This allows for less layers and reduced material use, in some cases this will not be possible because of compound curves or obstacles that will cause the text to warp.  On most race cars this is possible but that will need to be determined at the time of estimate before design.  This does increase installation time because of the accuracy that is required to place the graphic so it does not fall into wheel openings and window openings.  We measure and remeasure to make our prints as accurate for installation as possible, it is a very time consuming process but does have very attractive results.

The only separate decals that were installed in the wrap were the Quarter Panel Sponsor, the driver name, and B-Post Sponsors.  This wraps had only 9 total overlapping seams.  The roof to side prints, the tail to side prints, the fender to nose prints.  We even printed the tail as one piece with the website and TOYOTA branding.

Our hood print was even installed as one piece, not many shops do this, this cannot always be achieved, this depends on the paint scheme developed.  We wanted to print as much in the wrap as possible to reduce the seams for the templates that required to fit these cars to pass technical inspection.  This also allows for more aerodynamic qualities as well.

We can travel to onsite installations, but we do recommend that the vehicles be brought to our clean and climate controlled installation bay here at our facilities in Denver, North Carolina.  By a vehicle being brought to our shop it allows for any problems that may form that we can immediately reprint the image for installation and reduces travel time.
